Lingfield Tips: Corporal Maddox
Earned a whopping sectional adjusted speed rating of 89 last time and has plenty of headroom off an official mark of 77.
Corporal Maddox might be about to turn 9-years-old but he’s in rude health and can land the hat-trick in the 2.30 Lingfield.
His win at Wolverhampton was mightily impressive on the clock. Although he prevailed by 0.75 lengths he ran a rapid 22.78s closing sectional and earned an adjusted speed rating of 89.
That speed rating might seem off the chart for a horse rated 77 but for most of his career he was rated in the high-80s and perhaps he’s just regained his old sparkle.
The form of the race has held up well with the sixth placed horse (Ziggys Star) winning next time out and the fifth placed horse finishing runner-up.
