Lingfield Tips: Black Baccara
Been running well against stronger opposition and should have the race run to suit.
The 3.50 Lingfield is a tight looking handicap, as you would except for the grade. However, the bookmakers have underestimated the chances of Black Baccara at 14/1 (Betfred). She might not be the most prolific winner but she has finished in the top three in six of her ten starts at Lingfield.
She has been racing at this class five level but in much stronger contests than her rivals. On her last start at five furlongs she finished sixth but was behind the likes of Island Legend, Captain Scooby and Estonia, much better horses than today’s opposition.
She needs a strong pace and plenty of cover which she should get with Riflessione and Ice Trooper in the field. Danny Brock takes off a useful 7lbs and although he lacks a bit of experience he has been riding well recently. He also enjoys an 11% strike rate and £29.63 level stakes profit for Phil McEntee.
