Lingfield Tips: Aurora Gray
Won on first 2m start, has stamina in her pedigree but also displayed a useful turn of foot last time.
A 5lbs rise in the weights means Aurora Gray is forced up in grade for the 2.15 Lingfield but there is a strong chance she can make a mark at a higher level.
She is unexposed a 16f, having previously run over 12f and won her first start over course and distance, losing her maiden tag in the process.
With plenty of stamina in the dam side of her pedigree, she gets the trip well but more importantly has the turn of foot for steadily run races on the all-weather.
Last time out the finishing speed was 110.1% of the overall speed, with the race run at a crawl and then a sprint for the final 2f. Aurora Gray was always travelling best and ran a rapid 22.83s closing sectional, the fastest in the race by 0.43s.
She has that all important tactical versatility for 2-mile races and can win again at her new trip.
