Lingfield Tips: Ask The Guru
Closely matched with Pucon on their last meeting but has a better draw and is three times the price.
On speed ratings and recent all-weather form Pucon looks the horse to beat in the 4.00 Lingfield.
Last time he tackled course and distance he won in class 4 company and in a lower grade this afternoon he should run another good race.
I wouldn’t put people off having a saver on Pucon but at the prices Ask The Guru is the better bet.
He finished a length behind Pucon on their last meeting in May but they ran almost identical races, Pucon winning by virtue of getting a lead he never relinquished.
At the weights, there is little between them but Ask The Guru has the better draw in stall 2. If Louis Steward gets the rail first, it could prove decisive at 16/1 (William Hill).
