Lingfield Tips: Amenable
In cracking form and a cut above his rivals with his turf handicap mark approaching the high 70s.
The 2.45 Lingfield looks like an ordinary claimer but there are some form horses in the line-up.
Seamster has won his last three starts at the track, dominating from the front each time. He’s dangerous if allowed a soft lead but I think he’s limited in scope; almost all his wins have come at class 6 level and against better horses he gets found out.
That better horse is Amenable. The 7-year-old has been in sparkling form this summer, winning three times in his last six starts.
On turf his handicap mark would be pushing the high 70s therefore he is well treated racing a bunch of sub-70 horses off almost level weights.
It seems strange for Conor Dore to risk losing a new recruit on his first start, but a 19% strike rate in claimers suggests he knows what he is doing.
