Lingfield Tip: Shamshon
Race could set up for a closer and Shamshon showed a good turn of foot at Kempton when closing off a moderate gallop.
Stuart Williams has a terrific record around Lingfield and his runners deserve plenty of respect, even more so when in the colours of Tom Morley. These silks have been seen to good effect in sprints on the all-weather and Shamshon looks another shrewd purchase.
Some could be put off by his running style, he is a deep closer, but he has an excellent strike-rate of 6-31 and he was the fastest closer at Kempton last time out despite not behind suited by the moderate early gallop.
On paper there should be plenty of pace and if Josephine Gordon holds her nerve, she could swoop late and win.
