Lingfield Tip: Deputise
Hasn't raced for 160 days and first start for new yard. But all-weather record is 121125 and runner-up on All-Weather Final's Day last year. If fit, he is the best horse in the race.
The 4.00 Lingfield is a tricky race. Shamshon seems better over the minimum trip whilst Merhoob, Fizzy Fear and Total Commitment all take it in turns to beat each other. It’s very difficult therefore to back any of that quartet but a case can be made for the final horse - Deputise.
Based on his second place in the 3 Year Old All-Weather Championship race, he is the class in the field. His record on the all-weather is 121125 but unfortunately we are gambling on his wellbeing.
Deputise hasn’t raced for 160 days and this is his first start for Michael Wigham but there is so much upside to his profile he is worth the risk against this opposition.
