Lingfield Tip: Boom The Groom
Good winner a Wolverhampton last time out but revised handicap mark still workable. Won this race in 2015 off a 6lbs higher mark and back in form after wind operation.
Boom The Groom was a nice winner for us 9 days ago and at a similair price i’m going in again. Before scoring at Wolverhampton the 8-year-old has been on a prolonged losing streak but as a result he was and still is, dangerously well handicapped.
A regular winner in this grade, including this race in 2015 off a 6lbs higher mark, he is underrated by the market. The catalyst for his upturn in fortunes might have been wind surgery and he is a horse to keep onside, especially given his light weight relative to Royal Birth and Corinthia Knight.
