Lingfield Tip: Atletico

Atletico has hit the cross bar three times in 2018 but he’s lost nothing in defeat. His second place finishes have come with fast closing sectionals and big speed ratings and he has simply been unlucky.

Last time out he came from too far back in a race run at a moderate gallop. His closing sectional was the quickest by 0.3s and he only just failed to reel in the winner. In defeat he earned an adjusted speed rating of 100 which means he is not badly treated off the same handicap mark.

Equally good over five or six furlongs he shouldn’t be inconvenienced by trip or track and his all-weather record of 11222 is impressive.
