Lingfield: Shobiz
Finished behind potential smart Juddmonte horses on both all-weather starts but lost nothing in defeat. A more solid proposition versus the favourite returning after almost a year away.
The 3.30 Lingfield is an interesting conundrum. Do you back Tarhib at odds-on after a 338 day break (his last run being over 7f on heavy going) or stick with the in-form, more straightforward Shobiz.
The answer has to be the latter. Shobiz has run with credit on both starts this season on the all-weather finishing behind useful Juddmonte horses on both occasions. Both his runs have come with good speed ratings, especially his run at Wolverhampton which has worked out well since.
He looks the solid option and is a fair price given the odds of the favourite.
