Lingfield: Pablo Del Pueblo

A combination of wide trips and overly aggressive riding have not seen him to best effect. Still relatively lightly raced, this C&D winner should go well back to his optimal 6f.

Pablo Del Pueblo was a wide margin course and distance winner back in November and since then not much has gone right. Twice over 6f he’s raced very wide (often three horses wide) from difficult starting gates.

Last time out Jack Duern decided to take matters into his own hands and tore away in front. It wasn’t a bad tactic he just executed it wrongly. The early fractions were too fast and his finishing speed was 96% of his overall speed. Considering it was also his first run at 7f, his stamina gave way and cost him the race.

He wasn’t beaten all that far and earned a useful adjusted speed rating of 66. Back to his optimal trip and granted a clear or just ordinary passage; he stands a good chance.
