Lingfield: Lihou
Win over course and distance and although up in grade, speed ratings suggest he is up to the task. Better than bare fourth last time; pulled too hard mid-race as pace slackened.
Lihou was a course and distance winner two starts back and although he is upped in grade his form matches up well with his rivals. At Lingfield he made all, winning in a decent time for the grade but Darragh Keenan might want to take a lead this time given the abundance of early pace.
Last time out at Wolverhampton he finished a close fourth with another good speed rating (79) but his race was compromised turning for home. The 4-year-old was too keen during the mid-part of the race, understandable as the finishing speed was quicker than par, indicating a moderate early gallop. That is unlikely with Ornate in the line-up and the strong pace should help him settle better.
