Lingfield: Bedford Flyer

Is 2/2 on the all-weather and clocked a sectional adjusted speed rating of 92 on last start. Seriously good stuff from a 3-year-old. This is tougher and he's up in trip but looks a talented sprinter.

The 3.55 Lingfield is a good quality sprint and there are several at a price to be interested with. There’s plenty of winning form around but i’m really taken by that of Bedford Flyer. He is 2/2 on the all-weather making all both times.

However, he’s not had things easy in front. Last time out Lewis Edmunds had to press the accelerator early to get the lead from a wide draw and he was then relentless from the front winning with a sectional adjusted speed rating of 92.

It was a seriously good performance and shows he handles the track. The big question is can he replicate it over an extra furlong? We won’t know until after the race but at the weekend Lingfield heavily favoured those ridden prominently and although not an exact science, I feel the track is becoming more speed favouring again. It might be the case that Bedford Flyer barely needs to stay 6f to win.
