Lightning Strikes At Hamilton

Lightning Strikes At Hamilton

Lightning Spree has struggled to get a clear run of late but has run well at Hamilton in the past.

A quiet Monday with limited betting opportunities apart from Lightning Spree who is over-priced for the 4.20 Hamilton.

He is the type of horse who relies on luck in-running because he needs to be dropped-in and come through horses late on.

On his last two starts he’s been hampered whilst trying to make headway from off the pace and although he wouldn’t have won, he’s better than the bare results.

He finished second at Hamilton in July when looking a big danger. The 9f trip was probably a furlong too far and he should be suited by reverting to a mile, especially if that guarantees a strong early gallop.

Kevin Ryan has a 29% strike rate (16-55) with three-year-olds at Hamilton and Lightning Spree could improve his tally at 12/1 (Boylesports)
