Caught on the line in a 5f race that developed into a 3f sprint. He is better finishing strongly in a 6f contest, which is what he's got today. Has three good speed figures to his name and should win.
I backed Motorious when he finished second at Beverley but I consider that money lent. He came there with a strong looking run but was just outpointed by Ava Go Joe in a sprint finish. A steadily run 5f race didn’t play to his strengths and a return to 6f bodes well.
He is seen at his best finishing strongly off a decent gallop and that looks more likely today. His three (sectional adjusted) speed figures to date are 63-67-78, with the first of these coming late into his 2-year-old season. An opening handicap mark of 71 looks workable but he can equally win a moderate maiden like this.
