Bishop’s Leap undone by steady gallop on debut but warmed to his task by running the fastest closing sectional by 0.43s.
On his debut, Bishop’s Leap was understandably given time to become accustomed to racing. Unfortunately being held up in a slowly run race is a sub-optimal position to find yourself in.
To his credit Bishop’s Leap warmed to the task and chased down the leaders to finish third, running the fastest closing sectional in the race by 0.43s.
Because he didn’t win, his performance seems to have gone unnoticed and that’s good news because he drops in grade for the 9.00 Lingfield.
