Laytown Tips: Swiss Cross
Has won on a variety of surfaces and interesting connections have decided to make the trip over from Newmarket.
Racing on the beach at Laytown only happens once a year and although this might seem like a novelty event there are plenty of good horses competing for decent pots.
Swiss Cross makes the journey across the Irish Sea and could reward connections for their bravery.
He has proven versatile regards surface, winning on the all-weather and turf. He’s also comfortably carrying big weights, winning with 9-6 or more on his back on four occasions.
In the 6.25 Layton he has to shoulder 12-1 but he’s down in grade and might finally capitalise on his sliding handicap mark.
