Kempton Tips: Ripinto

Previous course and distance winner Ripinto runs in the 7.25 Kempton and he must have a massive chance on his return to the all-weather.

He started the season with an unlucky second at the track. He let the winner get first run on him in a steadily run race (106.5% finishing speed) and despite clocking the fastest closing sectional he went down by 0.25 lengths.

Since then he’s been plying his trade on turf but hasn’t always got the ground he needs. He finished a short-neck third at Newbury on good to firm but has struggled on a good or softer surface.

A return to Polytrack looks ideals and he is only 1lbs higher than when racing in April, although he’s in a higher grade this evening.
