Ran a good race in defeat six days ago and has bagged the plum draw in a poor contest.
Joe Le Taxi was narrowly touched off at Southwell six days ago and he should quickly gain compensation in the 7.00 Kempton.
He was unlucky to run into the red-hot Prince Of Vasa at Southwell. Both horses duelled up the straight pulling 2.5 lengths clear of the third horse and clocking a good time for the grade. He lost nothing in defeat.
Drawn in stall one he has the plum draw tonight. The pace is drawn wide so expect him to sit behind the leaders as they take the first bend. The change of surface is no concern as Joe Le Taxi goes equally well on fibresand or polytrack. His record racing over 6f on the all-weather is: 115114692.
If you remove his runs at Lingfield, a track that doesn’t seem to suit him, it improves to: 111462. Two of those defeats also came at a higher grade. I make him a 6/4 shot at best therefore the 2/1 (William Hill) offers us some value.
