Kempton Tips: Debonaire David
Returned from 3-month absence to run a good second behind Dazacam who has franked the form by winning two more times.
Two winners and numerous placed efforts in the past seven days suggest that Richard Hughes has turned the corner after a sticky 3-month period that produced just 4 winners from 107 runners.
Debonaire David ran particularly well on his return for a 3-month break and looks a winner in waiting off a mark of 63. Last time out he finished strongly off a true gallop and was unfortunate to bump into Dazacam, who went onto win his next two starts.
Debonaire David didn’t get the clearest of runs but clocked the fastest closing sectional and should be suited by the step up to 6f. An adjusted speed rating of 65 is usually good enough to win a race of this calibre and having returned from a lengthy break, there should be plenty of improvement.
