Kempton Tip: Sparkalot

Sparkalot is the favourite for the 4.55 Kempton and although the price might put people off he looks like a good thing. His course and distance record is 411711 and i’ve been hugely impressed by his last two wins.

Both have been achieved with the fastest closing sectional of the race, which suggests he should be able to handle the step up in grade. On his last two runs Sparkalot has covered the final 3f in 33.96s, a fun coincidence but importantly none of his rivals dipped under 34s. Most recently he earned an adjusted speed rating of 91 and the handicapper has caught up with him, as he races of 89 this afternoon.
