Kempton Tip: Shyron
Race not run to suit last time but clocked a rapid 21.79s closing sectional and still well treated at the weights.
Shyron is often easy to dismiss because he needs a certain type of race to be at his best. Usually that means a strong pace to aim at and luck in-running. That can make him frustrating, just as he was at Lingfield last time out. Held-up in rear, off a steady gallop he didn’t get a clear run and got going all too late.
However, the good news is he finished in a rapid 21.79s; the fastest closing sectional in the contest by 0.38s. He’s still below his highest winning mark and although he’s only raced once at Kempton, the longer straight should in theory help him.
Dragon Mall is the big danger but he’s not exactly a model of consistency, therefore the preference is for Shyron.
