Kempton Tip: Archie McKellar
Run well twice showing good finishing burst after steady starts. Can run a fast time and suspect he will enjoy the track.
A big field lines up for the 7.45 Kempton and although there are plenty with valid claims I like the chances of Archie McKellar. He’s got experience with two runs under his belt and both have been good - leading to third place finishes both times.
On both occasions he’s started slowly and finished quickly and it’s hope that from a favourable draw he is able to stay in touch with the leaders around a bend. Kempton’s long finishing straight probably makes this one of the better all-weather venues for him and he’s got a change of gear.
On debut he earned an adjusted speed rating of 87; so there is ability there.
