Kempton: Han Solo Berger
Building up a good body of work at the minimum trip, winning two of his last four starts both in a higher grade. Well drawn in stall 2 and has run well at Kempton before.
Han Solo Berger finished 2019 as a sprinter heading in the right direction and he can continue that upward trend at Kempton. His last four starts read 1010 but he’s not as inconsistent as results suggests.
The first of those defeats came from diving left out of the stalls at Doncaster, whilst at Ascot on he was unsuited by the soft going. Since Chris Wall started campaigning him as a 5f specialist in 2019, he’s won twice and finished runner-up three times, both wins coming in a higher grade.
Han Solo Berger also has course experience to draw upon. His record at Kempton is 927 and his second place came in a class 4 handicap despite being over a less favourable 6f.
Well drawn in stall 1, he is of a winnable mark, in the right grade and a good price.
