Kempton: Arousing
Well bred sprinter who impressed over course and distance last time. Fastest closer by 0.47s and clocked a good speed rating in what appeared an above average race for the grade.
During my formative years I was a huge fan of the sprinter Enticing and it’s great to see her daughter Arousing is another talented sprinter in her mould. Dropped back to 6f at Kempton she showed a tremendous turn of foot to win an above average class 4 handicap.
Her closing sectional was 0.47s quicker than anything else in the race and adjusting for pace I have her a speed rating of 90. That was an apprentice handicap therefore she races off the same mark over course and distance again; off a generous mark of 85.
She might appear a short price in a largish field but she’s got the form and upside that her rivals don’t have.
