Kachy Stakes: Tinto

Sixth in the race last year but this a weaker renewal. Not had much luck on last two starts, finding trouble in running both times but has shaped as if ready for a big performance.

The market for the Kachy Stakes (1.11 Lingfield) looks all wrong to me and it’s a case of picking up the value on Tinto. He finished 6th in this race last year but he is twice the price in a weaker renewal.

Last time out he was unsuited being in rear of a steadily run 7f contest. Despite finding numerous avenues blocked in the home-straight he still clocked one of the quickest closing 2f sectionals. Previous to that he finished 7th in a Listed contest over course and distance again better than the bare finishing position because he was denied a clear run in the straight.

He deserves a change of luck and can take what looks a wide-open contest.
