July Cup Tips: Magical Memory
Slightly detached from the action in the Diamond Jubilee after a slow start from a wide draw. Can turnaround Ascot form.
There’s not much to choose between the top 6f sprinters in the country and I fancy Magical Memory can turnaround the Diamond Jubilee form.
Drawn away from where the action unfolded and not helped by a slow start, Magical Memory can be judged a slightly unlucky fourth at Royal Ascot.
Frankie Dettori was aware of the problem and made a big move 2f out but despite running the fastest closing sectional of the race by 0.17s he couldn’t quite get there and was fourth in a blanket finish.
Likely to be better suited by quicker ground; Magical Memory is also a course and distance winner. Drawn in the centre of the track there should be no excuses.
