Hoof It To Victory

Would have won his last start in another couple of strides and well drawn to stalk the leaders.

With the turf season starting at Doncaster it seems unusual for Hoof It to be plying his trade on Polytrack at Kempton (3.30) but it could turn out to be a shrewd bit of placement by connections.

Hoof It has a strong Polytrack pedigree and he handled the surface well on his last two starts.

His most recent effort came in the Listed Cleves Stakes at Lingfield where he was slightly unlucky to finish a half-length third. The 7-year-old was held-up in rear behind an even pace and just failed to reel in Tarooq and Rivellino, both were better placed and got first run.

Back in a handicap, Hoof It will have to shoulder a big weight but that is negated by a good draw and Kempton’s longer home straight should suit him.
