Hever Sprint: Rocket Action
Record on the all-weather is 1212114 and better than the bare placing when fourth in a Group 3 at Dundalk. Should get a decent pace to aim at and this not the strongest renewal of the Hever.
Moss Gill is the best horse in the race, if the race was run at York but that is not the case here and I have to pass at a short price. Rocket Action is third on official ratings, which tells you this isn’t the strongest renewal of the Hever and he is the horse I like.
Last season I tipped him to win the King’s Stand which might have been optimistic in the extreme but he’s always impressed me on the all-weather. His record on an artificial surface is 1212114 and that last effort in a Group 3 at Dundalk deserves upgrading as he came from a long way back after a slow start.
He was beaten a nose in a Listed race at Deauville which suggests he is up to the grade and the race should be run to suit with early pace likely.
