Haydock Tips: Sandra's Secret
Trapped wide from a poor draw at Chester. Ended up chasing an overly strong gallop and paying the price. This more suitable.
Sandra’s Secret has a career high mark to defy in the 6.35 Haydock but she looks well capable of scoring in class 4 company for the first time.
She finished fifth at Chester last time out but it was a huge performance under the circumstances. Drawn in stall 10 she was trapped three wide, chasing a ferocious gallop. The race was blown apart as everything went too quick but covering extra ground over a trip beyond her best was sub-optimal.
In defeat she earned a whopping sectional adjusted speed rating of 101 and although that might be over-egging things slightly the form has worked out well with the second and fourth horses both winning next time.
A drop back to 5f is ideal and she should improve on what was already a very good run at Chester.
