Haydock Tips: Fair Passion

Valid excuses for her last four defeats. Conditions should suit tonight and looks well handicapped on her best form.

Regular readers will have noticed that Fair Passion is a horse I have tipped on numerous occasions; I am hoping it is third time lucky in the 8.50 Haydock.

A winner off a mark of 75 on the all-weather, she looks dangerously well handicapped racing off 69 on turf. Although she has limited experience on grass, she looked capable of picking up a small race when fourth at Doncaster. She made good progress from the back of the field before tiring on the heavy ground.

Since that promising run, it has been a litany of missed opportunities. She underperformed at Thirsk, when turned out too soon after the gruelling test at Doncaster. She flopped at Southwell when slowly into stride and on her last two starts, a sluggish early pace has undone her.

The list of excuses is starting to grow but she has everything in her favour at Haydock tonight. If she underperforms again I will admit I read her wrong but at 14/1 (Paddy Power) I’m giving her one last chance.
