Windsor Tips: Arsenio Lupin
Second from a wide draw at Nottingham. Has a good turn of foot and able to race in the same grade.
A runner-up normally advertises their form quite well but that’s not the case with Arsenio Lupin’s because I was mightily impressed by his performance at Nottingham last time out.
He was the only horse from a wide draw (10) able to fight out the finish with those draw 8,9,11,13,14 (stall 12 NR) filling the final five positions.
Accelerating into a quickening pace, Arsenio Lupin did well to battle from midfield to finish second with the fastest closing sectional in the race. Given another 50 yards there is every chance he would have overhauled the leader.
In defeat, he earned a whopping sectional adjusted speed rating of 91, that seems slightly dubious but he’s shown a good turn of foot before. He clocked the fastest closing sectional (22.68s) on debut at Lingfield and following it up with a 22.1s split on his second start.
