John Holt’s filly ran her best race on her seasonal debut, tracking a strong pace on soft ground. Almost identical conditions to what she faces at Haydock; the strong pace is not guaranteed but it is a big field.
A mark of 59 is very workable, in a race which although big on numbers, lacks any strength. Lady Monica ran a series of decent races last season suggesting her 125/1 win wasn’t a fluke and she can confirm that impression with victory at Haydock.
