Grendisar To Shine Again
Record over 10f at Lingfield is 2112322111 and his terrific turn of foot makes him hard to beat at this track.
Grendisar is one of my favourite all-weather horses and although he concedes a fitness advantage to his rivals he is still the one to beat in the 2.00 Lingfield. Because he doesn’t act on turf, Marco Botti’s options are limited so I expect him to be fully wound up for all his engagements.
Lingfield and 10f seem to bring out the best and his record over course and distance is 2112322111. What makes him so hard to beat is his remarkable turn of foot, in this race last year he ran an astonishing 21.57s closing sectional.
Last season the 6-year-old still seemed to be improving whilst nothing has come out of the pack to challenge his dominance at Lingfield. Let’s hope he can continue where he left off.
