Grendisar A Class Act
Second best middle-distance horse on the all-weather last season and there is no Tryster to worry him.
The 7.40 Chelmsford is a cracking little conditions race and I’m surprised to find Grendisar available at 2/1 (Bet365).
Last winter he was arguably the second best middle distance horse on the all-weather with a run of results that read 1221123.
His last two defeats came behind the remarkable Tryster and he would have finished second in the Winter Derby if it wasn’t for the pedestrian early gallop.
He has to carry top weight as a result but he’s the best horse in the race, has a good draw and should win.
