Goodwood Tips: Stake Acclaim

Dean Ivory has trained some good sprinters in recent years and has unearthed another good one in the shape of Stake Acclaim.

The 4-year-old came to hand late last year, which is why he ran on the all-weather over the winter, despite the surface not suiting him. Back on grass he’s an exciting prospect.

Last time out he won a competitive Windsor handicap by 1.25 lengths in an impressive time considering the conditions. Adjusting for pace, he earned a speed rating of 99, yet was only put up 4lbs for his win.

At his best on going rated good or softer, he has conditions to suit in the 3.25 Goodwood.
