Get A Tan At Southwell

Tan is back on the Fibresand and should enjoy a productive winter on his favourite surface. His record at Southwell is 41352 with his one victory coming at the minimum trip. Not only do I like his course form but he’s also off a handy mark.

Last December he was the 13/8 favourite in a class 5 contest, racing off a mark of 74. He finished a highly creditable third and returns to race off an 11lbs lower mark and at a much bigger price. Last time out he was well beaten at Beverly having reared at the start but his form isn’t too bad as he finished second on both his previous two starts.

There enough current form that when combined with his course record make him a good bet at around the 8/1 mark.
