Forever Popular With The Punters
Allowed the winner to get too far ahead in a steadily run race and couldn’t bridge the gap. Won’t make that mistake again.
Forever Popular got turned over at Newbury when favourite but it wasn’t a lack of ability that got her beat, more the shape of the race.
The winner, Jasmine Blue, was given a soft lead and enjoyed the run of the race in front. The finished speed was 112.8% of the overall speed, indicating a steady early pace followed by a sprint finish.
Forever Popular found herself too far back as the race developed but did extremely well to make up 4-lengths into a quickening pace.
She still holds plenty of fancy entries and with a run under her belt she should win the 4.10 Newmarket at 15/8 (Skybet).
