Foie Gras Can Make Up For Lost Time
Foie Gras's all-weather campaign truncated by 3-month absence but shaped well on comeback run and drawn in stall 1.
Around this time last year Foie Gras was tearing it up on the all-weather with a run of form that read 4612172322 with his final race being a second place in a class 4 handicap.
Unfortunately, Chris Dwyer has been unable to repeat the campaign because of injury. Foie Gras shaped well when a close fourth on the 6 October but then finished tailed off on the 28 October and wasn’t seen again for 3-months.
On his return to action 19 days ago he finished ninth but shaped better than the bare form. Posted wide in a race which favoured front-runners, he still clocked the fourth fastest closing sectional.
The form of the race is working out well with Top Offer (third) and First Excel (seventh) winning their next starts and Depth Charge finishing third in a higher grade.
Black Truffle could be the danger having finished second in that race but Foie Gras should improve for the outing and is the value at 12/1 (Bet365).
