Ffos Las Tip: Maths Prize
Green on debut but clocked rapid closing sectional, 1.03s faster than Naval Warfare who is the main challenger today.
Maths Prize looked very green on debut, out the back in a race not run at a frantic gallop. Despite being all at sea during the first half of the race he proved a quick leaner and clocked the fastest closing sectional of the race, 0.69s clear of the third fastest closer.
The way he finished at Sandown, under a hands and heels ride suggests he has a bright future and a sectional adjusted speed rating of 96 marks him out as potentially smart.
He beat Naval Warfare by 2.25 lengths at Sandown and I cannot see the form being reversed. Maths Prize was disadvantaged by racing further back and his final 4f sectional was 1.03s faster.
