Failed Tellovoi Gamble Money Only Lent
Set too strong a pace over a mile and folded in the final furlong. A better judged race can see him win.
Tellovoi was well backed 12 days ago and racing in the same grade he can win the 3.10 Southwell.
Having been rated in the low 90s under two years ago, Tellovoi has fallen to an attractive mark of 65.
He was well backed to capitalise on a rare start in class 6 company but Robert Winston was perhaps too eager to win the race.
He set a frantic gallop and Tellovoi didn’t last home over a mile, with a finishing speed of 95.7% much slower than par.
His sectional adjusted speed rating of 55 suggests he can win in this grade and a drop back to 6f is perhaps no bad thing, considering the bright early pace he showed last time.
Tellovoi is twice a winner on Fibresand and is 2/3 in this grade. At 7/2 (Bet365) he can win back some of the money lost last time.
