Everyone Loves A Tryster
Ran a blistering 20.97s sectional at Lingfield, one of the fastest splits ever recorded. Potentially an outstanding individual.
Tryster was one of the standout performers on the all-weather this winter and he carries a lofty reputation into the 7.45 Sandown.
The Godolphin horse is something of a pinup for the sectional brigade after he ran an incredible 20.97s closing sectional at Lingfield on Good Friday.
It was the fastest closing 2f ever recorded at the track and even though it helped they went no early pace (119.5% finishing speed), it was still an amazing split. To put it into context anything below 22s is impressive, so to dip below 21s is outstanding.
The big unknown is whether he can transfer his form to turf but he did win his maiden on grass last season.
Tryster could be one of the best horses around and we might regret not taking the 9/4 (Ladbrokes) come the end of the race.
