Epsom Tips: Best Trip
Has been unlucky on both his starts this year; hampered in his first race and then beaten by the draw on his last start.
Best Trip will have to live up to his name if he is to win from stall 17 but he’s got a better chance than the odds suggest.
On his seasonal debut he was only beaten 2.25 lengths in a strong handicap and would have finished even closer if he’d got a clear run in the last couple of furlongs.
Last time out at York he only managed to finish 10th but he was best of the horses that raced in the nearside group.
The 7-year-old ran well in some big handicaps last year and if Robert Tart can plot his way through the traffic he could spring a surprise at 20/1 (Betfred).
