Doncaster Tips: Spiritual Lady
Won very easily last time but sectional and overall time both impressive. Smart juvenile and only carries 8-1.
Spiritual Lady made a mockery of her handicap at Chelmsford last time out but she is again well treated in the 3.40 Doncaster.
Despite being the third highest rated horse in the field she carries the lowest weight and is favourably treated compared to rivals Global Applause and Mubtasim. It might be an emerging trend for this valuable sales race but two of the last five winners carried 8-1.
More importantly Spiritual Lady has the times to back it up. At Chelmsford she won on the bridle yet ran a fast overall time and the quickest sectional of the race by 0.87s.
On debut she earned an adjusted speed rating of 81, winning in soft ground at Newmarket and her only defeat has come when dropped to the minimum trip at Newbury.
Stall 1 isn’t ideal but connections couldn’t have a better man on board that Silverstre De Sousa.
