Doncaster Tips: Ruscombe
Finished third in a useful maiden on debut but ran similar closing sectional to winner. Runner-up placed at Royal Ascot.
Ruscombe is a well-bred filly with a lovely middle distance pedigree that should see her win a race very soon.
On debut she bumped into a couple of useful sorts in the shape of Lady Of Camelot and Ajman Princess, the latter runner-up in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot.
Ruscombe finished 2.5 lengths behind in third place but can be rated close to the potentially smart winner. Held-up in midfield in a steadily run contest (106.6% finishing speed) she let the winner get first run but finished the race strongly with the second fastest closing sectional.
In defeat she earned an adjusted speed rating of 89, decidedly useful for a horse making their debut. She was still green, should improve for the run and it will take a good one to beat her.
