Doncaster Tips: Red Warrior
Undone by the steady pace last time but ran the fastest closing sectional by 0.5s and looks ready to win.
Red Warrior isn’t the most prolific of horses with just one win but seven placed efforts from 18 starts, however after a patchy 12 months he’s back in form.
Last time out at Windsor he ran a blistering final sectional to finish second in a steadily run race. His finishing speed of 111.7% was a big deviation from par and there should be plenty of improvement to come if he gets a stronger pace.
Red Warrior has finished second, four times in this grade so I doubt he will be outclassed in the 8.40 Doncaster. At 9/2 (BetVictor) there is some value in his price.
