Doncaster Tips: Mustarrid
Won two of three starts on the all-weather and earned adjusted speed rating of 100 at Wolverhampton.
Mustarrid makes his turf debut in the 7.20 Doncaster but he’s won twice on the all-weather and should be able to transfer the form onto grass.
A comfortable winner last time out at Chelmsford, he was actually more impressive on his penultimate start when a wide margin winner at Wolverhampton.
Despite the steady pace (107.2% finishing speed), Mustarrid ran a good time for the grade thanks to a blister 22.7s closing sectional.
When adjusting for pace I gave Mustarrid a speed rating of 100 and that marks him out as a potentially smart horse. This is tougher but a mark of 90 isn’t insurmountable.
