Doncaster Tips: Desert Law
Every chance Paul Midgley can rejuvenate this formally useful Godolphin sprinter. Potentially well drawn in stall 22.
Early into a season, you are slightly guessing whether historical draw biases reappear but in the 3.20 Doncaster it’s worth the risk with Desert Law.
A high draw has proved advantageous on the straight track at Doncaster and drawn in stall 22/22, Desert Law could have the stand’s side rail to himself.
The ex-Godolphin sprinter has plenty of useful form to his name but rather lost his way after a stint in Dubai last winter.
There were moments of encouragement however, including when fourth at Windsor despite setting an overly strong pace (96.5% finishing speed).
During the winter, he’s moved to Paul Midgley, who is a dab hand at reviving old sprinters. He is down to a workable handicap mark and might spring a surprise.
