Yarmouth Tip: Moolazim

YarmouthTip: Moolazim

Caught napping last time but debut at Chelmsford impressive. Fourth fastest sectional from last 5622 runners at track.

Mistakes happen in racing but there’s always a second chance and that is what Moolazim’s got in the 3.45 Yarmouth.

Last time out Daniel Muscutt got in a real mess on Moolazim. The horse was slow to break but sitting in rear of a steadily run affair was not the place to be. The leaders skipped clear off the final bend and despite Moolazim clocking the fastest closing sectional of the race by 0.21s, it was in a losing cause.

The good news is that the handicapper, perhaps influenced by the result, has given the horse and opening handicap mark of 79. The big unknown is how Moolazim takes to turf but if he runs anywhere close to the form he showed on debut then he could make a mockery of his mark.

At Chelmsford, he quickened well off a steady pace, clocking 33.38s for the final 3f, the fourth fastest closing sectional at the track from the last 5622 runners. That marks him out as potentially smart and better than a 79 horse.
