Crisford’s Training Career Off To Flying Start
Phyllis Maud let winner get first run in a steadily run race but clocked a good closing sectional and should improve for the outing.
It is early days in the training career of Simon Crisford but he has already found the happy knack of winning races. Godolphin’s former racing manager has a 31% strike rate (4-13) and I’d be surprised if he couldn’t get a win into Phyllis Maud.
She was beaten 2.5 lengths at Nottingham last time out but she can be rated alongside the winner, who got first run in a steadily run race (111% finishing speed).
Phyllis Maud couldn’t reel in the winner but ran a similar closing sectional and was not given a hard time when the race was all but over.
She should improve for the outing and can win the 8.35 Bath off a generous mark of 63.
